I just watched this amazing behind the scenes video that shows how California based architectural photographer Mike Kelley composites his architectural shots to enhance his imagery. Mike takes multiple shots of the same scene and using a speedlight paints light into select areas of the image. This short video below is well worth a watch!
I have used this process in my own photography. The first time I tried it was on a shoot for Geoff Fletcher Architects Ltd earlier this year. Below is a gallery of images and a Video that show you how I created this image. This project went on to win a NZIA Wellington Small Project Award and will hopefully be selected for the national competition early next year. Thank you to Paul Howell for your help on this shoot!
