I have photographed this site a few times over the last couple of years. It is hard to imagine how they managed to hide the huge amount of steel that went into the seismic upgrade and renovation. Below are the final images from my most recent shoot with Studio Pacific.
What a year! 2015 was incredible. Thank you to all my loyal clients for your continual support.
After a tough edit I have selected my Top 54 (because I could not settle on 50) photographs of 2015 - highlighting over 40 individual projects. This features a huge variety of architecture, from traditional Tongan churches right through to the contemporary kiwi 'bach'.

It is always a pleasure photographing work by Athfield Architects, and the four projects I captured in Christchurch were no exception. Photographed over 5 days in near perfect conditions, my assistant Jake and I worked from sunrise to sunset in an endeavour to do these projects justice. I want to thank Athfields for putting us up in the Warren and Mahoney flat behind their office. Full of character and 70s charm, this place is a gem and I am kicking myself for not getting a couple of shots of the space - next time!
