This diptych shows the thick, gnarled silver beech forest you encounter between 600-1000m altitude in the Tararua Range. Fondly nicknamed ‘Goblin Forest’, this was our campsite for the night before moving on to Neil Forks Hut the following day. Not an ideal spot as it was a little swampy but did the job. Shot on my Fujifilm GSW690II camera on Kodak Porta.
