Cuba Precinct Timelapse - Willis Bond & Co
The Cuba Precinct represents one of the largest regeneration projects in Wellington, encompassing a 1 hectare block north from 106 Cuba Street to Dixon Street, and west to Victoria Street.
The first phase of the development delivered Whitireia WelTec’s state-of-the-art Te Auaha performing arts campus and 800 square metres of premium ground floor retail space, which is fully tenanted by Barkers Mens Clothing, Cotton On and Vodafone.
The former Farmers Building and the two neighbouring buildings at 104 and 106 Cuba Street form the second phase of the project, which is now under construction. These three buildings will deliver over 6,000 square metres of office space (already fully leased) and over 1,000 square metres of premium retail space, which is now leasing. Works are expected to be completed in Q3 2020.
The third and fourth phases of the project will transform the Victoria Street side of the site. Phase three is the base-isolated Victoria Lane Apartments building, which houses 123 apartments and the first stage of the Victoria Lane Office Campus on levels 1-3, as well as an adjoining low-rise car parking building.
The final phase of the project will deliver the second stage of the Victoria Lane Office Campus, a seven-storey office building on the corner of Victoria and Dixon Streets.
